This blog was mainly created to log my training for the FLM 2005, but who knows, I may keep it going afterwards. So join me here as I run up, down, round and back again while I get ready to run my Big Marathon. I have it in my head that this will be my last marathon, but then after my first one I said "NEVER AGAIN!" so we'll see!! Either way, I figure this will be a major event in my life and worth journalling for posterity.

No marathon for me!

Yes, I know, it's been far too quiet on this blog of mine. Sorry!

Well, I'm not going to be running the marathon this year, which is very sad. But the reason is a happy one! Assuming all goes well, I'm going to be a mum come September. At first I entertained some notions of running anyway, but I'm just sooooooooo tired that even a 5km run is major achievement at the moment! Running for two is exhausting! But I do plan to defer my place until next year and use training as a wonderful way of burning off that baby fat.

Perhaps I should revamp this page and turn it into a baby blog instead!

    Fantastic news! Many congratulations!!

In 1998 I had the same thing although I wasn't 'in training' just yet. I decided that 1998 was either the marathon or having the child we'd been trying for for years. I had twins later that year...

Enjoy the pregnancy, take it easy and make the most of being child-free!

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't think anyone would be reading this any more since I haven't posted for so long.

Pix - I saw your message on the RW forum... sorry I didn't write back. I've been lurking on your blog from time to time and it looks like your training is going really well. So in that way I'm jealous of you too!! LOL!!
